Several of you have reached out to me over the last several months to let me know you’d be available as a volunteer to help the event run smoothly. While we will have a dedicated staff of 7 on-site, there is still a bit of work needed to be done. Here’s how you can get involved.
Breakout Room Coordinator – We need a minimum of three volunteers to run video and timing for the breakout sessions. Here is a sheet to sign up: http://goo.gl/FmIFd
Photographer – Any budding event photographers out there? We need at least three people to serve as the official conference photographer. We could find a professional in Denver, but we thought we would see if any of you would want to do this first.
We’re not looking for much here. Just snap a few photos at each of the conference events/sessions and upload all the photos to the conference flickr.com account. Pictures would be creative commons. Sign up using the same form: http://goo.gl/FmIFd
Depending on the level of volunteering you are willing to do there will be some compensation involved.

I could *possibly* be the photographer of last resort. I don’t have an external flash, so if the lighting sucks there, there’s not much I can do about it.
That and honestly I don’t trust myself with such a responsibility. So, yeah. Last resort.

Less pessimism, more optimism – I’m up for the challenge. Just remembered I do have a decent new low-light technique. Combined with a tripod and I should be good to go.

I’m planing on bringing my camera, too; so I should have some pictures to share.
I am not bringing my DSLR with me, but my point and shoot does a pretty nice job. (Plus, I can make anyone look very refreshed with editing.) I’m happy to share whatever photos I have.
Philip, I’m actually staying in Denver for a few days AFTER we’re finished. Let me know if I can help with Sunday-afternoon cleanup. Especially if I can blog about it.
