This summer I moved to Dallas and discovered that DFW did not have a local group. Knowing the value of meeting people in person, I thought we should get one started! Thanks to Philip living here, he was a great help in getting me the contact information of all the bloggers he knew here, so we were quickly off and running!
FinCon Local DFW
Our first official local DFW Fincon gathering was on October 9th.
At the gathering was:

We had a great time at a local beer pub, sitting outside in the fantastic Dallas weather! We chatted about our backgrounds, what our biggest obstacles were, about the last FinCon and so much more! A couple of us even stayed past the original two hours we were having so much fun.
We are planning on meeting the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 4:30 – 6:30 PM. Our next event will be November 13 at the Ginger Man in Plano again. Going forward each meeting will be a round table discussion over different blogging topics.
I for one am very excited for the next one, making more connections and learning from everyone. So if you are in the DFW area, join us!
