I really enjoyed the Financial Blogger Conference, and was eager to provide feedback on the event. In fact, more than half of the registered attendees answered the post-conference survey sent out. The results, as well as the comments, provided some insight into what worked well at the conference, and what attendees most enjoyed. We were asked to rate different aspects of the conference on a scale of one to five (five being the best). Below, you can see a chart that my husband compiled using the data from the survey:
He listed the items in the survey from highest mean score to lowest mean score, so that it is easy to see what conference goers liked best. It wasn’t too surprising that the conference staff got the highest score. As far as events at the conference went, it appears that most people enjoyed the Happy Hour. We were all so excited to meet each other that anything that involved natural mingling was greeted with great enthusiasm.
I think people were kind of disappointed in the Plutus Awards, and I know that there are already some efforts in the works to make it more of an event. For the most part, the feedback on all areas was constructive and could be used to make FINCON12 even more awesome. Perhaps, even, EPIC.
What was your favorite part of FINCON11? What could be better next year?
